Yeah. Those kinds are at game for 40 bucks I think. Slightly different shape, and are eurolux brand but same type

3 hours on a day then breakeven point changes to 450 days on the R2 guess
Not too bad imo, electricity cost is climbing as we speak. Sooner that you switch the sooner you break even.
Or ... switch off the lights

edit:
You are correct, just under 2 years with the R1.31 price
And seeing that you are using "free" money to pay for it then yes it is worth it.

R40 buys you the old incandescent type - which I already have.

The auto response i just got if it helps anyone :o

Dear Sir/ Madam

1. Thank you for submitting your query around FNB Fuel Rewards on your Cheque Account.

Please note that this mailbox only deals with queries relating to Cheque Card fuel purchases that have been incorrectly processed by fuel retailers. Please expect a response via email by the 8th of next month.

Please submit any other Cheque Account Fuel Rewards queries and complaints to [email protected]. You can also call 0860 11 22 44 and select option 5 on the IVR menu (‘Pricing or Fuel Reward queries’) to speak to a consultant.

2. We need the following to process your claim for missing Cheque Card fuel purchases that have been incorrectly processed. Should this information not be submitted, we will not be able to process your claim:
· A copy of your Cheque Card fuel transaction slip;
· Your FNB cheque account number.

3. Please note that Fuel Rewards are processed by the 8th of each calendar month based on the previous calendar month’s Cheque Card fuel purchases. However, any rewards that will be allocated based on submission of slips will be allocated according to the reward level of the month in which the claim has been sent through. These rewards will therefore not necessarily be based on the reward rate of the month in which the transaction took place.

Queries must be submitted by the last business day of any calendar month, in order to be allocated by the 8th of the following month. For example, a query submitted on the 31st of July will result in the corresponding rewards being allocated by the 8th of August, while a query submitted on the 1st of August will result in the corresponding rewards being allocated by the 8th of September.

4. For more information about FNB Fuel Rewards on your Cheque Account, please visit www.fnbfuelrewards.co.za or call 0860 11 22 44.

If you would like to enquire about Fuel Rewards on your Credit Card, you can visit
www.fnbfuelrewards.co.za or email [email protected]

5. Please note that FNB does not pay any Fuel Rewards on Debit or Petrol Card fuel purchases (Cheque Cards only). With the introduction of Chip and Pin Cheque Cards on FNB Cheque Accounts, FNB is in the process of phasing out the Debit Cards and Petrol Cards linked to your Personal Cheque Account. The Chip and Pin Cheque Cards have enhanced functionality (customers can make online purchases), enhanced security (lost card protection), and are also personalized.

Yours sincerely,

The FNB Fuel Rewards Team

hmmmmm interesting. so Petrol cards linked to cheque accounts does not generate fuel rewards, but linked to credit cards does?

How long should it take for a Makro purchase to reflect points?
I have not seen anything for nearly 3 weeks, remembering it taking quicker than before. My dischem from Sat already shows

Since when? Still had fuel rewards from Feb and I paid with a debit card.

nevermind, just looked at my actual card and it is a cheque card.

The entire ebucks system needs to be reworked and made simpler ; whole thing is a bit of a disaster

:erm: A bit worrying when the mail confirmation from eBucks says in the description "R1 Voucher Makro Virtual Voucher" when the voucher you ordered was actually for a value of R2500...

hi guys

can someone confirm the Ebucks calculation cycle?

eg if i received my rewards on the 9th of Feb, will that be based on 1 Jan to 31 Jan?
or 9 Jan to 8 Feb?

Yes, based on 1 to 31 Jan. It gets confusing because if you log in from the FNB section, it shows what you got in the last 32 days so it sometimes appears that you earned more than you actually did.
