They're losing out on the interest if it's our own money

Was it confirmed that the below applies when the credit card is in credit?
So simply the swipe?

Spend on your FNB Private Clients Credit Card in a calendar month for:

Between R3 000 and R9 999 1 000
Between R10 000 and R24 999 1 500
Between R25 000 and R49 999 2 000
R50 000 or more 3 000

Total monthly spend on your FNB Private Clients Credit Card:

Between 25% and 49.9% of your total monthly spend is on your FNB Private Clients Credit Card 500
Between 50% and 74.9% of your total monthly spend is on your FNB Private Clients Credit Card 1 000
Between 75% and 99.9% of your total monthly spend is on your FNB Private Clients Credit Card 2 000
100% of your total monthly spend is on your FNB Private Clients Credit Card 4 000

What don't you get ?

If you use between R3k and R9999 you will get 1000 points. If you use only your credit card for all payments (swipes), you will get another 4000 points.

What is confusing ?

On PW rules:
Use your Single Facility and have up-to-date Home Owners Comprehensive Insurance Cover (vacant land excluded)

Is that like your one account? where you have combined cheque and bond?

So if you have a normal bond account, you get the 2000 points for:
Have an active* FNB Home Loan with a minimum outstanding balance of R100 000 and a debit order or salary stop order set up on an FNB account, your account has not gone into arrears in the last 12 months and you have up-to-date Home Owners Comprehensive Insurance Cover (vacant land excluded)

but if you have one account... you will get:
Between 50% and 69.9% 2 000
Between 70% and 89.9% 5 000
Between 90% and 95% 3 000

If I buy a makro e-voucher with eBucks, can I use it to pay for an online order?
I wanna try out this pick-up locker thing.

I have a bond with fnb, and got points for:

Have an active FNB Home Loan with a minimum outstanding balance of R100 000, an FNB debit order or salary stop order and no manual prepaid withdrawals in the last month (1000eb)

Have an active FNB Home Loan, One Account or Single Facility that's in good standing for at least 12 months (500eb)

Have up-to-date Home Owners Comprehensive Insurance Cover on your active FNB Home Loan, One Account or Single Facility (500eb)

Those are PC rules... I'm particularly interested in the PW rules.

I would advise you and SauronZA or anyone insisting on paying way before payment due date, what you guys can do is, have your due date be the 26th**. Then statement billing cycle will be close to 1st to the end of the month.

Then if you paranoid, just settle / zeroise the current balance on the 1st of each month. By doing this then at any point in time you know what you've spend in the current month. Will make it easier to work out how capped you are on fuel and checkers, etc...

edit: ** You'll be losing out on about 25 days interest free, but on the plus side you not getting close to getting into too much monthly debt.

edit2: Not sure if changing payment due date cancels current credit card and issues a new one.

They don't issue a new card, your payment date just changes, however depending on when you change it, you might land up with two statements for one month. I got two statements, which didn't faze me as now it's far easier to monitor my ebucks and monthly spend.

That's fine so you don't have to pay anything to avoid interest being charged. I also do the same even though I have a standing instruction to pay the amt in full but it never happens as I always transfer more before due date

For clarity: Does this mean you still get the eBucks level points for credit card auto-payment but it just doesn't activate because you've paid upfront OR do you not get the eBucks level points?

You get the points.

My auto payment has never even worked and I get the points.

You will get points since it's for setting up auto payment on your credit card and not for using it. It's just a guarantee that you are gonna settle your card balance every month

Thanks for the info SauRoNZA and citizensa with regards to the full outstanding amount option.

Note: I can confirm that with a fixed payment (the option I chose originally), irrelevant if paid in full before due date, the fixed option still activates and takes the amount I stipulated. Another interesting point on the fixed payment option, if the min. amount due is more than the stipulated fixed amount that I chose, on the statement, the min. payment shows as more, however, if credit card is paid before due date the min. amount on credit card falls away and once again only the 'fixed' payment amount activates.

Any benefit in having an ebucks card?

Except for being able to pay with ebucks at retail partners?

Getting eBucks from places that require it when paying. IE dischem.

But if I don't have one I still earn ebucks on the transaction when paying with the CC, right?

Do I earn more/double when I do have one?

Please can you guys explain what this means?

The amount on which you earn eBucks is limited to 20% of your total monthly qualifying FNB Platinum Cheque and Credit Card spend or a total rand spend (on Checkers & Shoprite purchases only) of R10 000 per month, whichever occurs first.

I don't understand what the "total monthly qualifying spend" is.
There's qualifying criteria to have a Platinum account.
Have a total monthly deposit of at least:
R16 500 in an FNB Platinum, Encore Platinum, Islamic Platinum Cheque Account or One Account

What is the "total monthly qualifying spend" amount? I'm sure this is basics, I'm having a slow Sunday.
Thanks
