It seems so difficult to get any info out of people these days. I have been contacting Tiscali for about a year now and everytime you phone them, they give you a different story.

They have posted on their page 2 other broadband options but options which are supposed to be coming soon, RIGHT...... coming soon has been almost a year.

What is most frustrating is that when you phone them, they give you different stories, sometimes they say they will be launching within a month or so and other times they cant tell you at all. I just wish someone would get their act together.

I have even tried contacting the manager in charge of broadband and have been waiting almost 3 weeks for him to phone me back..... NOTHING

If this is the kind of service they are offering before you sign up, I hesitate to ask what kind of service they will offer when you do sign up.

My best option...... Find someone who can offer me something or at least wait until someone does.

All I know is that Mweb have a wireless option available at various hotspots that they have, but the prices arent cheap

As far as I know the Tiscali wireless offering was to be just a repackaged Sentech offering....

As far as I know Tiscali was bought by Mweb and this could be the delay you're talking about. I can't see WHY you WANT to go with Tiscali after they've PROVEN to you that they're incompetent and can't handle your simple requests for more information.

This is what is fundamentally wrong with South Africans today, you'd rather stay with a company and b1tch about not getting service, but keep paying them for the service you're not getting instead of just getting out and moving to a different service provider (yes, there are more out there  )

So get your ass in gear, if a company doesn't contact me back or give me enough information within 2 phonecalls, I look for something else (and usually) find something better

To be honest Tiscali are the most useless company in the world, just trust me on this one.

With the buy out from MWEB you even looking at more **** ! just find some small company who will lokk after you.

i heard that mweb has taken over all the isp users and vodacom SP has taken over all of the vodacom contracts signed with tiscali. vodacom sent out a sms broadcast to all the ex-tiscali vodacom contracts, it was sent at the begining of the month, to welcome them to vodacom. I waited till they took them over because vodacom has a better selection of cell phones.
