WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS COMING SOON
Tiscali has been selected by technology partner Sentech as the Wireless Internet Access service provider of choice for the consumer market. Set to launch in the first quarter of this year, wireless internet access will be available in stages, starting with Johannesburg and Pretoria and will be expanding to Cape Town, Durban and eventually to other metropolitan areas.

Wireless internet access is an unrestricted, high-speed, always-on internet connection that requires no telephone line, nor a GSM connection. Specifically designed for mobile users that require a high-speed internet connection, Wireless comes in three connection speeds:128K Wireless (entry-level), 256K Wireless and 512K Wireless.

More details about the launch and availability of Tiscali Wireless will be published in the next edition of Tiscali Highlights.

just a baka me question. D u pay isp charges above the sentech charges????
or can i if i want to just go direct sentech?
plus if u have to go through an isp first thats just gonna cost insanely huge mounts of cash.

New service by Telkom broadband speeds up to 5kbps for only R1k a month. heheh

nope the R650,R850 and R1449 is all you pay no ISP charges no nothing :)

Cerbs - based upon that, you'd expect the Tiscali should charge the same as TelkomInternet for ADSL as well, when in fact Tiscali's pricing is over R100 more expensive.

The only difference between the two, is first and foremost, service, and secondly, mail.

I personally think that Tiscali's price will definitely be at least a little bit more than Sentech's, but you could always argue that you may get better service through Tiscali, who are already very well established.
