to connect ps3 to pc

how can i connect a ps3 via lan to pc without software,i mean what settings can i do to do this.
I have tried for about 2 hours to do this and i cant do it,my lan adapter is sending but i am not recievin

ok i installed tveresity,the software you are telling me ok.
now how can i stream video/music etc via a lan cable direct the pc,without an internet connection.
this client wants this,I am strugglin here,HELP ME PLEASE.

just run windows media player and enable sharing ... Nero does the same thing

Windows Media Player 11 that is.

I tried TVersity Media Server. Hated it.

Now using Twonky Media. Installed it as a Service and it runs in the background. PS3 sees whatever I put in the shared folder as long as the file is supported.

well i installed that program,selected search for media server and nothing.I even set up the lan ip to thr ps3,and stilll nothing.
