Today I saw *drumroll*

A policeman riding a moped It had the words "police" stencilled on the very thin handlebars.

Just for those of you who might be confused, a moped is a rung lower than a scooter. It's in between a bicycle and a scooter. It has pedals and an engine powered up to 50cc but there are no floorboards on which to rest your feet. It may or may not have a blue light but it does have a shopping basket in front.

It's a funny sight.

seems the police budget is used elsewhere...

Even funnier was the sight of the policeman propelling himself across the Grand Parade to Caledon Square with his feet. I think petrol is an optional extra.
