dslreports.com speed test result on 2006-05-09 04:21:23 EST:
15 / 18
Your download speed : 15 kbps or 1.9 KB/sec.
Your upload speed : 18 kbps or 2.3 KB/sec.

When we spoke to them on friday, they wouldn't open a ticket, because apparently the speed issue was logged already and lots of other users were having speed issues.
Not from the look of things on this forum. Seems I'm the only one...

You'd think they would at least put a notice up on their site, unless they are burying their heads in the sand, hoping the problem goes away by itself.

What happend to the guarenteed 40kbps bandwidth they said they would provide (256 package).

They have always said they guarentee nothing

And today they are delivering nothing

We called and opened a ticket. The guy said there was another ticket open for poor international bandwidth but there doesn't seem to be any further news about it..

Call ppl!

Here is the reply:

Good Day,

Thank you for your mail below regarding speed.

Firstly, we do not give preference on the system to any
clients. All clients on the system receive exactly the same
service.

Secondly, we do currently have a speed problem on our
system. Incident 3943 has been generated for the same and
our technical team is currently working on the problem and
are trying to get it resolved ASAP.

We do apologise for the inconvinience.

Thank you
Regards
Stephen Mulomba

I've been told by various Sentech helpdesk ppl that they had raised the min guarentee to 40kbps. This was when I logged speed problems a few months back. At the time, my speeds were around 45 - 50kbps, so it wasnt really an issue for them.

My current tcpIQ results:
Download speed 22.75 KBits/sec 2.84 KBytes/sec
Upload speed 34.77 KBits/sec 4.35 KBytes/sec

Ok but what makes Sentech so special?
What are the specs of your package, is there like a cap or is it free for all
I'm starting to get greedy for bandwidth....:o
