Any increases in e-toll tariffs may not exceed the CPI averaged over the previous 12 months according to Government Gazette No. 36912

The tariffs and amounts displayed in this notice may be adjusted by a determination
of the Minister on 1 March of each year: Provided that such adjustment shall not exceed the
Consumer Price Index calculated for the preceding 12 months.

Of course regulations can easily be changed ...

Point still stands. It wouldn't have affected election results much even if they did increase e-troll tariffs.

The point is that in Gauteng, there are about 28 ANC parliment members that will be replaced by DA members.
Well done to all the people who voted. If the ANC keep up with their kerfuffling, they are about to lose Gauteng.
