Too many options, which TV to get

Replacing my 9 year old LG 49" 3D tv. Decided on 65". This is of course on a budget, so R40k OLEDs won't be an option.
I have a 55" LG Nanocell, which I quite like, however, I prefer the Android TV option for the lounge, so I can get rid of the Mi Box.

I have narrowed it down to the following units:
Sony KD-65X8000H
LG 65NANO75
TCL C725

Opinions on the above 3 please?
 
I havent got any of these, but i have an old Sony which is still running almost 15 years - they build them great.

I have my first LG LCD 32" still ... bought in 2006, and I had a Sony for about 12 years as well. Hence them on the list :)
 
Bought an LG 86inch Nano Cell, gota say happy with it, was on special i think around 30k about a few months back.

Linus is a child.

I have an OLED in daily use for near 5 years now and there isn't any burn-in anywhere in sight.

Unless you are an idiot going out of your way to disengage reasonable screen saver times and power management settings while leaving your input device on pause all the time it won't ever be an issue.

And my kids do on occasion pause the Apple TV which I do lose my mind over but even then it's not been a problem yet.
 
I'm using the LG C1 OLED as my work/entertainment desktop display.


Obviously I take some recommended precautions.

#1 1 minute black screensaver
#2 I drag the toolbar to my 2nd display (better anyway as you can keep an eye on the time / notifications while running something in full screen.)
#3 Press F11 on browsers for full screen mode to avoid having the same menu/tabs on the screen the whole time.

Even so, there's lots of stationary images when playing the same games for hours/weeks / youtube, etc.


Close to a year of usage and zero hints of burn-in.
I'd go for the OLED. It's just that good.
55" LG is around 22k or so.
 
I see they have a Samsung OLED/QLED which is slightly better than the LG OLED, but twice the price. And no Dolby Vision.

Samsung prices are creeping up on TVs and phones to beyond affordable. They are losing the war...

They are making themselves similar to a certain fruit product.

Burn in can happen, it's rarer on OLEDs then it was on plasmas, but it can happen, but on LCDs you get other issues like soapy/dirty screen effect, blacks that aren't great and and. I mean as much as my ULED TV can do blacks it will never beat an OLED and even with all it's dimming zones there is still white bleed through on a lot of white items.

The thing is their pricing is pushing me to the fruit, as it offers value .

On the TV side, my Q70R was a good R15,000 less than the OLED (unless I wanted to drop to 55") - and to me the difference wasn't worth it for my use case . But with Samsung increasing their prices, they're creating much better value to the other brands and again, pushing me away

Rtings.com is a good place to start.

Unfortunately the TV's are normally not available in all markets, but it could be a useful base for comparison.
