I know a lot of people use Gmail simply because it's Google and it is reliable but where does that leave it's competitors?

Which email service do you use and would you ever switch to another free email provider?

Here is a rundown of some of the top free email providers

Gmail - 17GB storage space - 25MB file attachment size
Outlook - 15 GB storage space - 20MB file attachment size
Yahoo! - 1TB storage space - 25MB file attachment size
GMX - 65GB storage space - 50MB file attachment size
AOL - 250GB storage space - 25MB file attachment size

AOL is still a thing?

For the record, I use Gmail. Not sure how anyone would use up all that storage what with Dropbox, Onedrive, etc, being better options.

Maybe start a poll?

I haven’t seen gmx in well over a decade... blast from the past

Yeah GMX blast from the past but really cool email features and upgrades they did over the years.

Outlook is pretty cool aslo especially when they were still hotmail.com you could get @hotmail.com @hotmail.co.za and @live.co.za so I have @live.co.za with my name which is really cool actually.

I actually thinking of switching my main mail account to GMX as it looks pretty cool offers decent storage and attachment size. For a free service can't complain about that.

Which one is a private paid email, eg not @ telkom.co.za or @ afrihost.co.za

Well that can qualify as a paid email because you need to have a fibre service or dsl that is paid to have access to those. That can also include @domain emails that you pay for or maybe paid office 365 email ect.

Well still open to the public and with 250GB storage space it's the provider with the second highest free storage space.

Isn't Gmail 15Gb of storage? My account still says 15GB, has that changed for new accounts?

I use Gmail for home. And Google Drive for personal backups with the 2TB option.
