TopTV decoder - GOT IT!!

@ engelbma ->Pep in Southlake (above metro and close to the cash converter) has stock (I bought mine yesterday) . A family member is waiting for them to open :P , ok nvm he just bought it .

Thks Dude, Went to Centurion Mall and got the second last one from the shelf at PEP.
 
TOP TV number engaged all the time, Spoke to Ettiene at Sats-R-Us and he was very helpful, got booking for Thursday.
Was told there was only 50 000 decoders made available for launch.
 
I will stick with DSTV coz I love having all the Sport options. My wife loves having all the Series. Daughter loves the cartoons, and my 1 year old son loves the baby stuff. Together we really enjoy Discovery, National Geographic, Crime, etc.. Until Top TV gets to a point where people have tried and tested as well signing rights to sporting events I will remain with DSTV Premium. Overcharged, but I guess there's no choice for now!
 
Got it at last

Went to house and home edenvale, while waiting someone jumped in front of me heard the gentleman say they do not have stock yet, went to pep in the same hyperama building they had 7 left when i bought my unit. Just not getting through to the call center :( thanks to the guy that pushed in front of me :twisted: :D i got my unit

Does anyone have installer contact details for the JHB area?
 
Got my decoder from PEP in Brackenfell at 9am sharp. Had only about 7 decoders in stock. Made my appointment with sats r us for installation on Monday at 9am after phoning them directly. Do I need to activate my account with TopTV or will the installer do all of this? Cannot get through to TopTV to activaet account.

Haha, my wife bought our decoder from Pep at Fairbridge Mall at 09h00, you must have been the next customer. It was their first decoder sale, and they said they have 7 left.
I'm going to wait for the installation before I activate.

Call Sats R Us on (021) 554-4641, they are the official installers everywhere.
You need to activate before the installer come, because the installer will ask you for a customer number.
 
The subscription website seems overloaded, it returns errors and asks you to try again later - every time.
 
Hey what do you ya know! I actually know the guy that owns the company who heads the Toptv Helpline. Heehee. Not sure when they officially open but apparently it was 7am but isn't it a public holiday today? Bleah. Anyways will somebody please post the results if they get the installers coming out to their house. I'll give the guy a call who heads the Toptv hotline and ask him what's going on
 
thx, that number goes to a leave your name and number prompt, i managed to get of an installer however he said he waiting for dishes so cannot help.
I suppose i'll just have to wait till next week

Mine has finally been installed & activated. A HUGE thank you to Hennie & Maynard from Sats-r-us Blouberg. You guys are fantastic!! Keep up the good work.

Hennie battled to get through to the call centre to have it activated. Luckily I left 2 call back messages and TopTV did call back & Hennie managed to use the opportunity to activate my decoder.

Hey Quintus26, please tell your connection the subscription website is not working. I've been trying to submit my details for over an hour, and every time it gives an error message. They have to get this fixed immediately.

The site is working, its under massive load at the moment.
There are plans to make improvements this wknd, should be up and running properly by monday
