TopTV decoder - GOT IT!!

The one and only thing that is making me stick to MC is the PVR functionality, couldn't live without it, is there any indication that TopTv will offer it in the near future

I read somewhere that it will be available December, maybe earlier.
 
Got mine from PEP in Parklands, Cape Town.
They had NO advertising and no units on display. I called in advance to confirm if they had and when I got there, the guy went into the back of the store to fetch it.
Man, I'm glad so few people actually knew about this rollout. House and Home in N1 City and Century City were both sold out. Game in Century City didn't even know they were meant to be stocking it until yesterday so they have none.

Called and booked the installation with Sats-R-Us in Blouberg (for Monday 1pm) but unfortunately haven't been able to get through to TopTV yet though. Left voicemail but don't expect to get a response too soon.
As long as somebody answers before Monday 1pm, all is good.
 
What if we're changing from DSTV (use that dish and get the installer to realign) - that R499.00 includes the dish ... so can we just put it in our garage? :/

Well thats what i was thinking but i cant find any of the settings for the dish e.g direction etc.
 
:mad::mad:been 10 hors now and almost as many messages and no call .. looks like no choice will stay a bit longer :mad::mad: i understand that possibly they did not realise the amount of calls but seriously cant take that long to return a call
 
There my brother goes and buys a decoder at Game Menlyn. Guess I'm stuck with whatever content there is :P I'm kind of excited though...but hey it can only be ***. Now I need someone to come and install it for me
 
I can't believe they underestimated the response.
They only released 50,000 units to the public, you'd think they'd consider taking that into account when deciding how many people should be in their call centre.

Apparently all 50000 units are sold. in one day :wtf: it was suppose to be stock for a month. I dont know who calculated it, but they sure underestimated the interest. I'll wait for the rush to go over before applying.

Yep, I also read something saying that. If this is anything its a sign to DSTV that they days of raping customers is over.
Apparently it will take some days before new stock is brought in, but ODM told store suppliers to take down customer details so they can reserve it for them.
Does anyone know when the launch special stops cause I want to wait for the backlog of installers to clear the 50000 installation.

still just getting "Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later." on the page and no answer or call back from center
