TopTV decoder - GOT IT!!

Thanks to someone that posted details about Sats R Us www.sats-r-us.co.za/

I actually phoned the number quoted in a post on page 6 or 7 (sorry on 3G and data sucks here, no quoting and fancy posts for tera).

Anyway, I phoned the number and Hennie picked up, I didn't expect it as I phoned them this afternoon and received voicemail, but I wanted to leave a message now. I read on my mobile this afternoon, so didn't really follow exactly what is what, you know, what is what :p ;) :D what the...

Anyway. Hennie was very nice. They don't install in Nelspruit area, but he gave me someone's number that I can phone tomorrow for possible assistance.

MC have what - 2.6 million subscribers in 20 years and ODM have 50,000 (limited by hardware) in a day?

I have an installation appointment for Monday, but can't get through to TopTV to activate my account before the installation. How important is it to have this done before the installation?
 
Hey,the demand is huge!!! I went to pep in Heathway centre(which is pretty hidden away) close to cresta mall.I went at 9am and there were loads of people buying decoders.I eventually got through to the call centre at 19:40.So im organised.Its about time nochoice got some competition.I will support them them 100%!! Im a rocker and asked nochoice years ago for mtv2 or kerrang!,so f@ck them.Ttv can defnitley compete.Nochoice has made profit margins unheard of any country,trust me I know.I have seen their accounts.

Hennie did my install yesterday morning, after doing his own first. Very cool guy. Did a great job. :)
 
This morning I started phoning TopTV at 6:59am and kept on hanging up and calling again until they were open at 7am. The one second I still got the we are closed message and the next call they were open. I rushed through the menu options and immediately got through to an operator. 15 minutes later I had my account active.

Already booked my installer yesterday by calling SATS R US directly. So all is ready for my installation tomorrow morning at 9am.

I was caller number 6007 to get an account, so they serviced about 6000 people yesterday. At an average of 20 minutes per caller and open hours of 7am-11pm, they should have about 125 operators working during a shift of 8 hours.

So it seems like they will take about 8-9 days to services all 50 000 customers if they don't beef up their call center. This does not even take the new customers into account that will get their decoders when new stock arrive in the next couple of days

So good luck to all that still needs to get through on their help line. My advice is to hammer their number at 7 am exactly. :D

At first I was very sceptical to leave a voice message with TopTV. I am pleasantly surprised and glad to confirm that they do call back. I must have left about 3 messages on Saturday, so anxious I was. They called again a few minutes ago & I could confirm that I was sorted out. I don't think we can compare them to Neotel at all (for now at least).

who is authorised installers of Top TV in cape Town..

can anyone please send or reveal the list of authorized Top TV installers in Cape Town...
I cannot see a link with such information anywhere on their website...

Also cannot even get through to the 08600 86 788 number...

This is becoming a headache...:wtf:

ok picked up my decoder at Game Pavilion in Durban on saturday, still had them in the back. Salesman didn't know anything about it.

Finally got thru to toptv after getting cut off 1000 times, and holding on for 10000 hours.

A&S pinetown is installing the dish for me tomorrow, so hope all goes well.
