TopTV digital audio out

Hi Everyone

I have my toptv decoder plugged into my amp via an optical cable. But the audio from the digital port is quite flat. Trebble is missing, and the bass is muddy. Anyone else have this problem?

Plugging in the analog sounds better, but I have that plugged into my TV and don't want to swap cables. Plugging in the optical cable into anything else sounds fine.

I connected Optical directly to Logitech Z680 and the audio is great.
Which AMP do you use?

My Sony home theater amp. Like I said, analog from the decoder is fine, but I would like to keep the digital connection. If i connect my htpc on the same optical connection, the audio is perfect. I'm at a bit of a loss
DSTV used to be on the same connection, and it was fine.
