I notice that the online guide on the TopTV website now has a generic message for many of its channels:
"The following list is not available at this time, but will be available shortly."
I get this message when checking:
BET
Discovery I.D.
Discovery Science
Discovery Travel and Living
Fox Entertainment
Fox Retro
Natura
Star!
ALL the Kids Channels
ALL the Music Channels
Showtime
Fox FX
Silver
Top Movies +2
Top Movies +24
In fact, every channel except those owned by TopTV themselves. (Ignoring the two movie channels above which are also broken.)
It takes them more than a month to finally get the online guide up and running and it works for all of ... a week?
*sigh*
I don't like to complain and I'm all for giving them a chance to find their feet but there are some very basic systems that should be in place BEFORE you go live with a service.
I can understand that they were inundated with calls and requests due to the unexpected demand but what does this have to do with your basic TV guide? In my opinion, it's something that should have been designed and tested BEFORE they even started, along with the firmware and EPG on the hardware itself.
It's like they bought a product and sold it without actually testing it themselves beforehand.
