Torch black screen

A few times now if I take my torch out its holster in direct sunlight the screen goes black. I have to wipe it with my palm for the backlight to come on. I thought it was the screen lock that I pressed by accident but it makes no difference if I press it or not when
its black. Anyone else had this. Like I said its only happened a few times and entirely random it would seem.

Nope, never had that issue.
My torch has actually been rock solid stable. which has surprised me no end.
