Torrent speed around 5kb?

My torrent speed only around 5kb download during the day.. I using the 384k ADSL. Very slow during the day. is it normal? (download from international site)

Sounds like a port-forwarding problem.
Check out http://www.portforward.com for instructions for your router to open the specific ports to allow your BT client to recieve inbound connections.

I did adjust the setting that u mentioned. But it still around 5k same as before. Is it because telkom shape the p2p?

The first night i connect to adsl. it can even download 30k - 40k total... without i forwarding the port...

So what problem you think?

there are about 29 total and 2 seed... But why it is faster at night? (is it because of shaped)

And if i still download during the day? will I waste the GB usuage? Because i find out if download is slow, then most of the download is use for upload to somebody, right?

no but rather download at night when u can get the max or best possible speed.

2 seeds is not very many. Try a torrent with more seeders (100+) and see what your speed is like.

I never see 100+ seeds before. but i using the torrent in my office by lease line. it keep 20+ normally. (no shaped lease line)

i did download near to 90k max of torrent by 800k lease line... so amazing.. but cost near to R80000 per month.....

888 is the number of seeders. Depends on the popularity of the file you're downloading.

it did 25k just now. from 15 - 25k now..

i set up upload 12k for 2 or 3 downloading files...

what is your guys set up the upload kb??

Yeah, I think so. I just leave it to upload as much as it needs to. Get +- 55 kB/sec on DSL 384 with international torrents.
