Torrents and Uncapped Accounts

I've always come to the understanding that torrents are not prioritized at all on uncapped accounts, however I generally receive zero throughput on torrents, ever.

Are there any particular settings etc a person is suppose to change for them to remotely work? 20 - 40kb per second would be alright? :P Compared with the current 0 - 1.2kb per second

If I change over to a PPPoE connected prepaid account then the torrents startup and list peers quickly. With my uncapped account on the router there is almost no peer list. Takes ages to produce 10 or so peers.
 
Change to Afrihost business. Unshaped 24/7. My torrents fly.

I'm with Telkom internet and on 2MB uncapped and download around 180GB torrents a month with speed between 180-204 kb and never have problems all my P2P is running smooth.
 
Schedule your downloads for after 12 and before 6....They run at full speed.
 
Just schedule torrents.
It's a known fact that Telkom dislikes torrenting during peak hours.

Or go the nzb route.
 
I've been with telkom for years. I still am with them today sadly. and yes they do. I did not say they throttle P2p ( torrents and Nzb's), I said torrents specifically. They throttle Nzb's quite a bit less than torrents.

News Servers work well for me. I will try schedule a few torrents between midnight and 6AM
