Hi

i have 2 1TB Toshiba Media players. Don't use them that much for the Media player, but do use/need the storage. The newer one of the two(which i have used to a minimal extent) doesn't pick up on my pc at home. Thought something might be wrong so bought it to work to see whether our work pc's pick them up which they do. It seems to function properly.

What can the problem be?????
 
You need to provide more information. Like what do you mean it's not picked up? USB, wifi, network cable? I assume they're externally powered? Does it spin up, but still not register on your PC? Or it doesn't spin up at all? Does it still work as a media player?
 
Have you tried all usb ports on your pc?
Have you used same usb cable at home & at office?
 
Try the rear usb ports at home, they usually send out higher voltage.
 
Its not picking p my USB but it makes that sound on my stereo to say a device is connected,it spins but then nothing. Can it be that two of the same media players can't work on the same device?reason why I ask is that I plugged the new one into my laptop and the older one was installing its drivers but doesn't pick up.i have tried all the USB ports:cry:

Try and connect only the newer one to your Pc and see if it shows up, otherwise look in "Disk Management" by right clicking Computer in the Start menu and clicking Manage.

Then look for the hard drive and see that it has a drive letter and that the drive letter is not used by another device, if it does not have a drive letter assign it one by right clicking it and selecting "Change drive letter and paths" then click "Add" then select a drive letter for the device.
