Where can I buy a reasonably priced Toslink cable of decent quality? I have an Apple TV which I connect to an old all-in-one 5.1 system. However, the toslink cables seem to break the whole time. I bought two - both around the R50 - R100 mark. The first one never worked, the second one worked fine, then one day after the domestic worker cleaned it seemed to make less of a decent connection. Music would play but it would lose a signal (choppy sound). I fiddled a bit with it and got it working eventually, but today it had the same problem. I fiddled a bit with it again and now it seems dead completely.
I see some light on the other side but I think too many bits are getting lost to transfer a signal.
Something like this would be great: http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-...oslink/dp/B001TH7GSW/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
I have no intention of buying a R500 cable if the bloody Apple TV was R900!
I live in Pretoria East.
