Can you recommend a fairly decent touch screen flip phone?
Preferably where the screen is protected on the inside.

Motorola Krave ZN4 could work but has weak resolution and max memory of only 8Gb. 2 Megapixel camera also meh

All screens are protected on the inside mate. It is the outside that scratches. :p

To protect the outside, get a clear screen protector and use a pouch

Why would you keep metal objects in your pocket? My Xperia doesn't have a scratch on the screen.

Ok will check. Samsung has one but it's a dual screen. Not in SA I think

Gsmarena's take on the Hennessey:
With the candybar form factor dominating the Android smartphone space, it's somewhat puzzling to see one of the big players on the market do this kind of a phone. The flip phones waste a lot of space for a smartphone world obsessed with huge batteries, large screens and slim waistlines. We'd be glad to be proven wrong though - unlocking some new smartphone potential we haven't considered just yet is always refreshing.

... and it weighs in at 208g.

I would not mind a heavier phone due to bigger battery. Battery life is a big plus for me

Think you'll find the weight is due to the two 3.3" touchscreens, doubt battery life will be great either driving all the additional hardware.

all reviews on said phone have been bad, there was much excitement about it on the android circles in google plus.

and on the metal objects in pockets issue, its not the phone that is at fault it is you, sad to say.

I ahve an S4, and there is not a scratch on the screen. and I think routine is the root cause of that.
wallet and Keys go in left pocket.
Lighter goes in coin pocket.
Phone goes in right pocket.
Smokes and other random things go in other pockets (I like Cargo shorts for the pockets.....)

if your screen is scratched its because you were not paying attention, and getting a flip phone to solve the issue is like blaming your kids teachers that he sucks at Rugby, its an unrelated cause and effect.

I ahve to say the Ninja stars made me laugh :)
