Touch-sensitive concrete could shake up security in SA

While the concrete is also useless, to be fair the electric fence is too. Most people i know who's houses were robbed had electric fences. They were either cut, bypassed or etc. Other than triggering an alarm, their voltage is useless.

Electric fences need to be properly grounded otherwise you will not get enough voltage going through to act as a deterrent. Regular maintenance is essential (replacing fence wires for example).

I do my own electric fence maintenance and it is extremely well grounded (not just with copper spikes).
