I think it's more like as long as the shareholders of Mweb have good days he will have bad days.
Agreed. He has got to have the toughest skin on this forum at the moment! I have no issue with him per se, he is still one of my fav reps. Even though I am no longer a MWEB customer, I do feel that I need to ask / challenge MWEB as I am a disgruntled ex customer.

Still baffles me that they say "Free speed upgrades" and the try and convince the customer that they DID get a free speed upgrade, from Telkom, but pay extra if you want to use it on MWEB network. No sympathy here.

Tough skin? This is the PR GUY who accuses people publicly of piracy, blames users for their own faults and considers anyone of different opinion an "insurgent". I doubt it's a single guy anymore, the radical attitude shifts speak to me of a small group, and at least one with poor temper control.

I believe that MWEB guy is bunch of probably quite cool guys that do other stuff and get turns at manning the stand.
Then there is a manager or supervisor who usually climbs in during office hours and allows his ego to supersede his IQ. Thats where the snotty comments come in. :twisted: This d'ked had a go at me too ... obviously needs someone to show him that his elbow is on his arm, and he sits on the other thing ....
And until Mr. Throttlekop ... the new boss wakes up, life for the shift MWEB guy is always going to be a bit tough.
Best bet - have a go at MWEB, and the clowns in management ... for the rest, its all fun with MWEB shift guy...
+2 Mweb Guy is cool in my books. Mweb on the other hand.... I liken him to Steve from FNB - I'm sure he has an Openweb account for his own home.

The difference being that OpenWeb are just resellers who don't run their own network, whereas Mweb does run its own network.

Big difference is that OW doesnt throttle for days on end .... OW doesnt change their T&Cs midway .... OW doent call their customers "abusers" .... OW doesnt accuse customers of being torrent whores when they are not .... OW doent treat their customers with disdain.
They 'just' nice people to deal with.

LOL .. Openweb shaping is pure ****... My friend has a 2mb gold account shaped to **** during the day - Hardly get above 100kbps on direct downloads and youtube... In my opinion that is pure Jut..
Over a weekend when they claimed it to be unshaped - We proved it was not.
As soon as 3 or more of us log on to play Dota2 - One of will lag violently ... Phoned them and they say its routing ... Switched to my ISP - No issues at all.
On the other hand - My MWEB account beasts during the day. Non stop. (except for torrents which I dont mind) Yes the thresholds are not cool but they are not unreasonable. And in fact my friend is going to move to MWEB from OW.
And I have found that MWEB retail stores offer excellent customer service. Go in and see for yourself.
And in anycase you are an MWEB troll Textile.

As an MWEB customer from Tiscali days - sure I am a bit upset with the way things have gone - and troll - absolutely - I make no bones about it. Wouldnt do it without a - well a few - reasons.
The fact that MWEB works for you is whats most important. I am sure you are smart enough to make an informed decision, so dont mind me .... I am happy that you are happy.
That aside - if I knew I wouldnt be throttled for a couple of days and didnt have to manage my useage - I would be back to MWEB in a heart beat. Their technical guys really looked after me, and the truth is, the MWEB store is close to me and is helluva convenient.
And at least one MWEB guy has a good sense of humour - which I appreciate.
