I managed to source a towbar for a 2015 Toyota RAV4.
However , the dealer didn't have anyone to fit it. I decided I would order the towbar.
I decided to call around to a few dealerships to see who could do the installation in this week.
Installation Prices range from R685 to R1295. These prices are from approved fitters in Johannesburg.
I won't mention names.
But the R685 is from a dealer in Ormonde and R1295 is from a dealer in Fourways.
What really surprised me is the range of price I was quoted. I expected a 10 to 15 % variance in the price range.
But it's become clear to me that some dealers are grossly overpriced IMO.
Go figure.
