Tower Time Sync - Observations

Been doing some more testing and I have noticed a few things.

When connecting to a single tower speed is pretty good.

When connecting to more than one tower when the time on those towers is syncronised, speed is pretty good

When connecting to more than one tower when the time on those towers is not syncronised speed is slow.

Anybody heard of or noiced anything similar?

how do you know that the base stations are synchronised. Can you see that on the device? just curious.
