Today the JHB International [12] tower was switched on.

I'll try and keep you informed on this thread as towers come on.

Thanks ProAsm...

I've bookmarked this page.

After numerous failed attempts to get me ADSL. I've now cancelled my order and will patiently wait until Zita park in Pretoria is up.

Until then...

:)

Hey fx1 !!!

Some detail pls, pretty pretty pls.

How far are you from Menlyn?
Which area do you live?

Cause maybe I can get connected in the meantime 2?

Thx !!

Today we got the Durban North 0 degree NodeB1 on air for those that are interested.

It has been brought to my attention that we are suffering quite severe interference problems at the moment on several towers, and JHB international is one of them.
This interfence is becoming especially bad in the Durban area and is coming from the North somewhere and is seriously effecting the 0 degree NodeB1's at SunningDale, Durban North, Sea Cow Lake and MalPark.
If anyone logging onto these nodes with a signal worse than -80 dBm the chances are you will not connect easily.
We have an idea who the culprids are but the problem is now been esculated to ICASA.

Ok yeah I'm caught out !!

Very Very desperate indeed.

Distance from Menlo park is about 8km and from Elardus Park is about 6.6km, but I think Elardus park doesn't have a node facing my way.

[xx(][xx(]

So, I guess my packets will be dropped by the towers

Oh well, at least it's not rainy season, so that won't delay Zita park coming online!!

(Ps. Sentech just imagine having Woodhill as a customer base, not to mention the new shopping centre 2!!)

Oh yeah, if you need any1 to test Zita Park, I'm your man!!!

Hey proasm is it one of the other wisp's causing interference or can it b maybe our beloved monopoly sitting behind a bush trying to interfere with the sentech signals???
if so it seems like a good plan just check what happened in the last week in this forum alone just because of bad signal. Telkom doesnt have to better their prices/services they just go the old terrorist route an have the users of the product kill sentech themselves

Proud South african rip offs.

When will the Sandton Base Tower be operational?

Durban International will still be a while.
Regarding JHB Int, not sure MyDraadloos as we are having more and more of this damn interference creeping in all over the place and is difficult to get a handle on it.
