Toyota RAV4

Another mans meat is another mans poison. This one and the one before it, I like them

When last did Toyota make a decent looking car (except maybe the 86)

Isn't the 86 a rebranded Subaru?

Yes it is! :D

It's is a bit of a joke. We all like comfort, but they are making most of these crossovers too soft now.

Sorry. Don't see any Fortuner in that...

My biggest problem with the new RAV is the fact that they have reduced its ground clearance!
That defeats 99% of the purpose of an SUV.

Not a clone, but styling queues. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...rtuner_(first_generation)_(rear),_Serdang.jpg - if you add a Corolla rear light cluster style, shrink the Tuna a bit adding a bit of a curve in the roof and adapt the rear window for the roof curve you are 90% of the way there. The problem is the styling is crappy like the Tuna. The RAV keeps getting uglier, a pity. I drive one, but I definitely won't upgrade to this.

This hacks me off as well. I had one of the original Kia Sorentos. It was quite capable off road. The new ones have a stupid automatic awd system instead of a proper mechanical system with low range, and only 185mm ground clearance.

Rav4 and Fortuner fuel Index

I am planning on buying the entry level Rav4 2.0 GX manual. Manufacturer claims 7.7l/100km. Any idea what the real world figure may be. I am a fairly sedate driver.
Also considering the 2.5 Fortuner manual and would also like to find out from owners what the average fuel consumption is. I dont mind that the Fortuner is to be updated soon.

Good necro
The Rav would be a better "investment" and less of a hijack and theft risk imo.
