So the new Makro by me was having an opening sale and had the TP-Link VR300 for a steal at R899. I bought one thinking I can upgrade my old Netgear jobbie at home. The problem I have is that the UI for setup does not have a WAN section at all, The box says it can use a fibre connection through the WAN port but you cannot set anything up there. Has anybody had any luck using one of these with a fibre line or am I out of luck as far as that is concerned? Dont really want to put DD-WRT on it since it explicitly states that that will void the warranty.

Ok, as a follow on to the above, the VR300 is not designed as a fibre router so the wan settings are not accessible. I took the VR300 back to Makro and paid in a bit more to get the TP-Link C50 V4 which works like a frikken charm.
