Did you replace these items with something better? Move? Too slow? "No longer use them" is kinda obvious...

Also what is the difference between your (TP-Link TL-PA511 500mbps x 2)@R800 and the TP-LINK PA4010 AV500 NANO POWERLINE ADAPTER STARTER KIT which is only R50 more and carries a warranty? If they are the same those prices are too high.

I used these before I ran UTP cable through the house. Kept them just in case, but no need for them anymore. I have no idea what the difference is between the fullblown ones and the nano, but open to offers.

I've been looking at those 500Mbps ones for a while now...but if you replaced it with fixed cable it seems that they were not performing too well? What speeds were you getting?

I have a set of 3 TP Link 200, and copying at 6-7MB/s

It is way better than WiFi, but irretating slower than cable

It all depended on the wiring in the house and how the plugs were wired together. I had one dead spot in the house that I could not get going properly. As we did not use the network for file transfer, but mostly streaming/internet and only a 4meg ADSL line, these things performed remarkably well. I think the lowest I got between 2 points, bar the dead spot, was in the order of 40MB/s. That was using the app that comes with the software to test link speed. Most were running at 110-140 if I can remember correctly.

I also wasted some money with the bigger units I think. With 150meg WiFi routers and a 4meg ADSL line, why go to 200 or 500? Network is as fast as slowest link, not? All in all, the ease of use and convenience of these units makes them worth their money.
