Hi all

I need a bit of help after trying to search the web for hours looking for a solution.

I bought a TP-Link W8960N Router for home use and have been trying to connect my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 to it. Both devices have iOS5.0.1 and the router has the latest firmware.

Both devices appear under "DHCP Leases" on the router admin page with their correct identification and IP addresses. This I have checked by looking at the IP addresses of both iDevices and confirming.

Both devices find the wireless network quickly, and after the password is entered, both connect to the wireless network. The wifi icon appears on the devices and everything seems good to go. However, neither device can connect to a website via Safari, or check email via the gmail apps.

I have tried many things like resetting the networks on both devices, resetting the devices, etc.

Made a few changes on the router itself and eventually reset the router to factory settings.

Please assist :)

My suggestion is to try a different brand of phone that also has WiFi enabled on it and if the result is the same, take the router back to Uniterm Direct - if you bought it from them. They are very helpful.

I have the exact same setup and it has been working flawlessly from day one.

Thanks. I shall do that over the next few days. Going to try a few other devices and see what I come up with.

Did you have to add your iDevices to any particular setting on the router?

Got help from fxit_man!

Noob error on my side. I set the connection on the router as "[email protected]" instead of my actual username.

Changed it on the router and my problem is solved!

Thanks for the reply, Roadrunner.
