Hi and thanks for your help.
I bought this router to be an access point. It connect via LAN6 cable to another router which connects to fibre.

Ever since I had this router, I have to unplug and plug back in because it seems to be switching off the wifi. I can log into the UI by cable but the SSID does not even appear on my phone when this happens. I then have to reboot it from the Web UI or unplug and plug in again. I bought the first one last year which they replaced under warranty. Now, only 3 months old, this one is doing the same. I know they will question my seriously if I were to take this one back as well.
I have had for most of my wifi use, only had TP-link without a problem. It is not as if it has weak signal. There is no signal at all. It is as if the wifi got switched off.
The LAN side of it works perfect ... only the wifi.
I will really appreciate any pointers.

Many factors can influence it.

Have you tried setting your routers up so that the channels are non-overlapping?

Have you disabled battery-saving mode on your phone?

Have you installed the latest firmware update on your TP-Link device?

If you want it to act as an access point, make the SSID, authentication method and password the same as the main router. You devices should now connect to the router with the strongest signal and handover automatically should you move closer to the other router.

Thanks for the reply.
1. Yes.
2. No, but, this happens to all devices. The router doesn't even show on available networks.
3. Yes, I check it regularly.

Thanks. Didn't know that the SSID should have been the same. Auth method & passwords are the same.
Will change it and get back to you. What bugs me, is that there is no pattern. Some days it works a full 24 hours and some days I have to reboot up to 3 times. I have it set now for about 4 months to reboot every morning at 06:00.

It's improbable that the old one and the replacement have exactly the same problem.

Turn dhcp off. Set the router IP to a different one to the main router.

LAN to LAN not WAN to LAN or LAN to WAN

And as said above turn off DHCP on the TPlink and set it to EG 192.168.0.100

Thanks for the reply. I cannot do it since I have chosen "Access Point" under "Operation Mode". (See screenshot attached.) Most manual settings are greyed out because of the option I chose.
Do I need to choose another "Operation Mode"?
