So saw a Peugeot advert thingie (I thought)but only discovered they are promoting this new car recovery system and you can win a Peugeot 308.

R69/PM with no contract, it seems like to be those entry level netstar/tracker radio system where it's not GPS positioning but rather location being picked up by their monitor beacons. Claims exceeds 70% recovery and small self-powered system with 5 yr battery life blah blah blah.....

I wonder how reliable are these radio systems, I guess they need to have lots of monitoring beacons around major areas and hot spots to make it work?

Well they could have a contract with telecoms companies such as vodacom and mtn to help them... besides, it costs R69/m plus then you need to pay for the device as well as for the installation as well...

Ok, but credit card sized with own battery for 5 years, emitting signal 24/7? Oh and forgot to mention their website says their frequency/technology is very unique.

Will you get one for your car (let's assume it's not a expensive up market car, with some years and mileage).
