Is there a way online that I can find some information on a motorbike if all I have is the CA number? Can I phone the traffic department for the info?

I once walked into the Centurion Police Station, said I was looking for a stolen car, and they took me into an office and gave me access to their vehicle database.

Sometimes it's worth asking.

I was thinking about that this morning and wondered if they would help.

Exactly why it is such a fsk-up to be forced to give your details to any government department. :( The info is supposed to be secure. I have not given them any permission to give my details to anyone :( :(

This youngster has a bike he wants to swop for a phone and I have a phone he wants and we went to look at the bike last night and they were gonna tweak it a bit for me for thursday pickup and as there is no paperwork or license disc I wanted to find out if someone owes money on it or whatever.

so yeah but i think try the police

Why don't you try posting something on the ThinkBike forum. I'm sure there'll be someone on there that can help you out.
