Tracking Data Usage on BIS?

Does anyone know how to track data usage on BIS? I've got a few contracts on BIS, and am wondering how much data I need if renew them but don't take BBs next time. So far both Vodacom and 8ta have told me that no-one tracks usage on BIS, which I know cannot be the case, as they could never identify abuse if they didn't monitor BIS, but whether they monitor or not, they refuse to tell me what is being used.

I've used monitoring apps before (Data Monitor was one, I think), but it doesn't mean you'll use the same amount of data without BIS. I was using around 300MB/month on BIS, and use about 1.8GB/month of 3G data on my Z10 doing pretty much the same stuff.

In a previous article here on MyBB it was pointed out that BIS data is compressed anywhere between 1:3 and 1:5.
I use Mobile Data Alerter on my phone, but you have to multiply your usage around 4x to equate it to what you would use on normal data.
