After getting seriously disillusioned with mostly all my games (for some reason I find BF3 boring as hell and can't get myself to play it anymore), I recently rediscovered my love for the 1st TM (albeit I only own the free one on Steam).

Now I am seriously looking into getting TM2 for me, just want to find out if there are still any saffers that play this.

Yes a lot of us play TM2, there are currently 213 SA players registered in Canyon (TM2). Come and join the fun. My SA server is called ManiaSA :)

Cool Stuffs, I believe I ran into Mania SA sometime during the week when I was just random browsing.
 
Do you mean the online multi-player server ? There used to be a time when SA had about 6 TM gaming servers running in TMUF, well I moved mine to TM2 though. If you want to join the party or have already, my nick in TM is 'zootie' (both TM1 & TM2)

Yeah, I wasn't on for too long last night.
I only payed about six rounds before my interwebs connection went a wee bit unstable and dc'ed me.
Compared to the few guys that were on last night...... I absolutely suck at this game.

I will most likely be on again tonight.
 
You just missed Luke actually :P It took me a long while to get use to the handling of the car, so no you don't suck. Soon you will beat me ...

Going try TM1 this weekend again for the SA Valentine Challenge, that's going to be interesting going back to stadium and the likes.

At one stage last night, I was timing my start to the race just a second or so after you guys started, to see what lines you guys take into the corners....... cause some of you guys are like lightning. :D
 
I will also be looking at getting TM2, TBO I had no idea it was out already...lol
Stopped playing for a bit and lost track of the progress along the way.

I played TM1 quite a bit and it was also fun when it "started getting serious". :D

How does TM2 compare to TM1 handling wise? Still powersliding etc?

Nick on TM2 will be the same as my TM1 acc: Lucky_Will
 
Handling more Island'ish than Stadium. Powersliding has been replaced by drifting... awesome drifting :) Went over to TMU last night, drove straight into the 1st corner's wall.... no drift :)
 
The handling is completely different to TM1 I find. I've seen a lot of players expecting it to be like TM1 (stadium), just to be disappointed and leave Canyon. If however you give it a serious go, you will soon see how much fun TM2 is.
 
ROFL Luke !! I actually just got back into TM1 (meaning got used to racing the tracks), but I have to say TM2 is way better, although not that diverse.

Hopefully we can get everyone in SA back into the racing mood as it's oodles of fun :)

Also check out this video, really a smooth run .. This was part of a give-a-way prize sponsored by Trackmania-SA (a Canyon Key) for the fastest time on Snip's track. Snip btw has been a good buddy in the SA arena, although he is French.

I will try and be on tonight again, my little baby kept me busy the last couple of evenings.

That Valetime server was very quiet when I was on this weekend, the most people I got on the server were 3 on Friday evening.
 
I will be racing this weekend. I heard some big things are on the horizon with ManiaPlanet 2.0 launch. e.g. new blocks and game modes. So hopefully we will see this in the not too distant future.
