My kid loves playing Trackmania and competing for online leaderboards.
Since about a month ago anytime he connects to online matches he's prompted with a UDP connection issue.

I finally sat down today and tried to troubleshoot the problems. Heres what I attempted and failed:
Different PC's and laptops
Different accounts
Firewalls off
Port forwarding on the router to multiple PC's
ExitLag VPN

The only time I was successful was attempting to use my cellphone to connect to the servers. This is whats lead me to here.
Is there something on CISP side that might be affecting the connection to the servers?
Anyone had any insight into something similar?

Hi, is this PC or Console?

Which router are you using?

Can you screenshot the exact error?

PC
Cudy WR1300

It was working for him from June till roughly beginning of December. Nothing hardware wise changed on our side

From what I read up it may be firewall on the PC itself, would you have another PC just to test with before poking at other settings?

Ahh sorry missed the different PCs part. We don't block any protocols so typically something localised.

Have any changes been made to the Cudy from factory config?

I did a firmware update in the hopes that it might fix the issue but it was after the UDP error started coming up.

The whole situation is baffling me for sure

I haven't tried a hard VPN yet. I used ExitLag but in retrospect, that may not be a good enough example of a VPN.
I'll try to ask a buddy with a VPN account that I can borrow and test that out

Just tested it with a VPN from a buddy.
PrivadoVPN and it's working, no UDP issues.

Does this mean there's a routing issue here?

Probably a silly question but your port forward rule is for the UDP protocol and not TCP.

I did both TCP and UDP

I did both TCP and UDP. I even removed the TCP and tried UDP on its own as well

HI there, any chance you could do a Packet Capture test with Wireshark , while you attempt to connect to the Trackmania servers?

Our team also wants to do a comparative Packet Capture from the Access Router at the same time, so ideally a time could be set up?

Please do PM me any account details if possible , so that we can get in contact.
