I got the Forever version.

Trackmania Nations is free. I used to play it online a few years ago and it was fun I would reccomend it to anyone. Get the new Trackmania Nations forever make a free account and you are ready.

Like the OP I would also like to play TMNF on a local server but that isn't possible due to the fact that the SGS server is never running...

The saix server is crap btw and not the only local server. You will always need an international connection as well, as you will not be able to connect online without it. Search these forums a bit for Trackmania, been discussed a lot. If that fails, ask away

Thanks for the information but looks like I'll have to wait for next month as I've already used up all of my international cap
