How much does it cost and for how long? Im probably misunderstanding the CIPC website but it looks like its R590 for 10 years? Are there additional costs? What is the process like?

As I recall we paid a lawyer to do a search and handle all the paperwork. That was close on 20 years ago though.

I think if somebody opposes the mark then you may incur additional costs. CIPC has made the process pretty smooth. You can do the application on your own to save on legal costs.
