TradePage advises against iburst

So you are saying telkom will use tradepages as a reseller? I dont think so.
Telkomonopoly don't give a hoot who resells their Durban Poison, it would be up to Tradepage and anyone else that's interested to approach Telkomonopoly & beg for a chance to resell WeMaxed-out-your-mastercard...

Hey, it's Telkomonopoly that's peddling the DB, so that's where the cops can focus their attention ;).

i tried to focus my attention on IBURST but i got shouted at and called a pig by someone he he

The domain was registered by Tradepage to protect the iburst name.

Thanks,
Michael

Furthermore, if you people want to cry about overseas bandwidth

1) Pick up pen
2) write what you think on sheet of paper
3) Put in envelope
4) Mail to ICASA

you can stick any good technology in a local ISPs hands (like iBurst is a good technology in WBS' hands) and they'll find a way to stuff it up, no one will give you 10mbit access internationally for more than 5 minutes without a catch

WOW! That is it, the quote of the day!!!!

See now this bothers me, yes international bandwidth is restricted and generally highly contended HOWEVER, before launch (minutes before) I could download internationally at 140kB/s quite comfortable, just after launch and till this day I cannot break to 40kB/s barrier.

Im lucky to get 50kB/s locally. WBS is simply throttling bandwidth to slow bandwidth usage.

But I do agree that we should still be on Icasas case about broadband in general.

u can get durban poisen from the cops at a reduced price slim.... or so i heard ;)

While you were studying for your embedded electronic thingy, we actually got email to work in this country. So now all we have to do is:

1) open email app & write
2) press SEND!

:p

btw: icasa email [email protected]

Firstly,

ICASA has a mail discarder I don't think e-mail as particularly reliable, knowing how good spam filters are at deleting important e-mail and letting worm/trojan loaded emails get through.

Secondly your comment "while I was studying" is rather condescending. You don't know me, or what I did or where I studied.

i dont know why people bother complaining to ICASA, its controlled by the Minister(ess) of communications, and she gets paid a handsome free by telkom to "slow" things up as much as possible. South Africa needs a truley independant consumer authority with some clout

1) you're probably right, but unless you send it via registered post, you don't know if they got that mail
2) uhm, no I don't - I only read this:
"I can make stuff yes, just one problem- my field is not RF engineering. I specialise in embedded systems & programming and embedded networking."
So I fail to see what you find condescending. Didn't you study to become an engineer? Hmmm, you never said that you studied, or became an engineer. Sorry, my mistake!

O/t

What has the last 2 and a half pages of posts got to do with TradePage?

oh yah, thanks 8321... listen to tradepage!!! i recon, from what i have heard, the reason they cancelled and advise against it is cause iburst are not paying their resellers

Or they are wasting far to much time trying to sort out customers problems.

(which they actually cannot fix until wbs fixes them)
