So, im trading my car in pretty soon. Its almost 7 years old and still in great condition.

Now the issue is that I have about 5 small paints scuffs and 2 tiny dents because of my a-hole neighbour opening his door on my car. Also, the passenger door window isn't working and apparently my steering column needs some grease (according to BMW) because it makes a creaking sound when I turn it.

Now the question is, should I spend money to fix these issues? Will it make a massive difference with my trade in value?

If so, what are we looking at for the window, small dents and a little paint work?
Anyone used Automagic or dent doctor? What are their prices like?

Should I fix these issues or leave them. I see a bill of about 2-3k for all this?

Thoughts?

I would not bother with the dents and scuffs, but I would get the window sorted. Depending on what is wrong with the window, and considering that it is a BMW, your estimate for 2 to 3k might be a bit low. BMW repairs are very expensive, which is partly why it has no second hand value. You might want to get a quote for fixing the window, and then ask the dealer where you intend to do the trade, how the broken window will effect your trade-in price and do the math from there.

A few years ago my windows were smashed and ever since pg glass installed a new window my passenger window has given issues.

When I push the button down I can hear a motor click sound so it might be as simple as a latch or something not clipped. I guess I'm making up components cause I know nothing about vehicle internals lol.

Hears hoping for a cheap fix.

Then even more the reason to get a quote for the fix first, after that have a listen to what the dealers have to say. You might well find it won't be worth fixing it yourself.

Many years ago I traded a bakkie which had a sizable dent on the one side. In the end, I would have lost about R 1k if I fixed it myself and then traded it. Dealers normally can get things sorted for less than we can.
