Trading Platforms for South Africans

So I've been trying to get involved with trading stock.. But since I don't plan on investing big money (I'm a student with no formal income), I can't register with typical brokers.

I've been doing research and I'm typically trying to find something like eTrader, OptionsExpress, etc, where I can manage my stocks myself and put in the trades myself. All these websites however doesn't allow South Africans to register.

Are there any South African Alternatives?

You being a student with a small working with smaller amounts of money, I'd look at EasyEquities. Easiest to register by far and it was built with people like you in mind.

If you are already an FNB client their ShareSaver product might be another option, but probably not exactly what you want.

The big full on trading systems will eat your money away with costs alone.
