Traffic Department closing date?

Hi all, can anyone tell me when the Traffic department close down and re-open in December? I bought a trailer from builders warehouse, and they just gave me a registration paper. Not a temporary paper I can stick on the back of the trailer. I'm travelling to Pietersburg in a weeks' time, and don't want trouble on the road. Anyone maybe know?

I know home affairs is only closing for Christmas day in Jhb. May be the same for the licensing department.
