Hi guys

as always - when in doubt - ask the mybroadband community for assistance :)

welll - long story short , my 2monthly visit to my snail-mail post box gave me the usual traffic offense as a surprise.

Issue is - this was on my December holiday, doing 112 in a 100km/h average speed zone in KZN/Ladysmith(one of those late night driving spree's... anyhow :o)

Ok - so i know they have "Zero Tolerance" etc etc.

Issue is - The fine says R0.00 admission of guilt is payable. Now i know i should just let this go, as it is a systems error, but i would really like to avoid proving this in court.

Me really trying to be the good citizen here, but the challenge in paying nothing is kinda difficult :o

Any advice? ( and no - i will not like the idea to sped R800 driving down to Pinetown to discuss the issue there) - would prefer calling them, as i doubt the local Tshwane/ Johannesburg Municipalities will give a crap.

Thx

Perhaps they're still piloting the average speed trapping? You can always just send a snail-mail response to the public prosecutor down there and ask him what to do. Or, write a check out for R0.00 and send that to them and watch all the other systems explode.

Just wait until your second/third notice and see if the amount payable changes.

If it hasn't changed by your third notice, contact your local Traffic Dpt, and get
them to remove it from the system. If it says R 0.00 then R 0.00 is what you
owe them.

Well managed to check payfine last nigt , and nope - nothing appears there.

ah well - Think i will wait for second/third notice

Send them a cheque for R10 and when they realize you are in credit start hassling THEM for payment.
