Hi I was pulled over today and issued with an "AARTO 01 - Infringement Notice" for:

1704 Sect 12(a) driving a vehicle without a B code license R1250

AND

1710 Sect 12(b) driving a vehicle without documentation in the car R500

I have a zim license which I presented when asked(this has never been a problem before) but cop said I need an International License, my passport and a Traffic Register certificate as well. Never been asked for all that before.

Annoying thing is I have all that but was driving the GF's car so didn't have it on me.

Any idea how I get rid of this or what I have to pay?

You gotta pay 1710 but you should be able to make representations for 1704.

That being said I thought SADC licenses were acceptable?

If you have a foreign license how do traffic officers issue a summons or fine for anything if the address is in another country?

It's aarto. No prosecutor involved.
Look on the aarto website for the process for making representations.

Found it thanks, will wait till next week so it's logged on the system. Pain in the ass to appeal, just what I need right now.

Ya my license is perfectly valid, I've filled out the form just need to print it and get to a Commissioner of Oaths, then scan and send back...

What exactly is the point of a digital form to fill out if you then have to print it anyway to get a stamp?

Avoid the post office

Where's the best place to find a Commissioner of Oaths? Are the tellers at the post office able to do this or only certifying of documents?

Nearest police station.
Or many bank branches have one too.
