Traffic Fine

What would a fine be being caught on a temporary camera going 100km/h in a 50 mph zone.

What type of fine would that be? R200 - R300?

unless you were really talking about 50 MPH, then it wouldn't really be a fine....

Ok wait a second, are we talking miles or km's? if you are doing 100 in a 50 zone talking kilometers you may get arrested or the fine will be 2.5k or more. I would be shytting myself if i thought i got caught doing 100 in a 50 zone. although i would not be that brave given the amount of speed traps all over the country at the moment.

Isn't 100km/h the same as 50mph .....if you did 100km in a 50km zone, you have some trouble.

62mph is equal to 100km/h so would still be a fine as 50mph is 80km/h then ya about R400

Thats around 20km above the speed limit so, it should be around R200 - R250 fine.

I just checked my post and got a fine of R200 for doing 70km/h - 79km/h in a 60km/h zone.

If you meant mph, it's ok, R500 or so. 100 in a 50 = Eina. 96 in a 60 is 1700, and you're 3 rungs higher...

Of course we do, schools and what not. Do we measure in mph in this country i think is more the point

I got a fine for doing 132km/h in a 100km/h and it was R500 been reduced to R250 now

was on the N1 at Bowling Ave Bridge and it was 100km/h cos of the construction
