Hi,

need some advice.I received a fine in the post saying the following ...

"At the recorded speed of travel the chief magistrate has determined that no admission of guilt be payable, requiring the attendance at court of the driver concerned"

There is no mention of the fine.I was going 100 in a 60 zone.Is there anyway to find out how much i must pay so i dont have to go to court ?

Wait till summons, chances are it won't even come..
Wait or was that a summons you received?

How'd you receive the notice? Registered mail with id required for acceptance?

I knew a dude who got in a similar thing a few years ago, also like 105 or something in a 60 zone. He was arrested and almost lost his licence. Eventually got off with something like a R20k fine.

My old man was stopped late last year for 120something in a 80 zone. Got arrested, had to do community service and attend some sort of anger management course.

Bubba's been waiting for your post. They do say "you can never have too much lube".

100 in a 60 zone, they should just lock you up and ask questions later.
But honestly that is 66% more than the max speed. Chief you were higher than the required mark to pass matric. We have no place for you in SA. Jail time.
