I need to know where I can find a simple, cost-effective solution (whether hardware based or software) that will allow me to portion internet bandwidth over my network.

I have numerous users who access the internet and i need to not only load balance between two or more ADSL's but I need to block all P2P networking and portion bandwidth per user. I cannot have abuse of bandwidth on my network and wish to have full control over all users and block some if need be...

Does anyone know if a basic internet traffic administartion tool that i can use to do this...???

Welcome to the Forum Mark

you might want to look at RouterOS http://www.mikrotik.com/ It's primary focus is wireless however it will do what you looking for.

Detail Required

Hi MarkK

Could you give some more detail on your setup? I might have a solution for you, but it depends on what your setup looks like, and how much your're willing to spend.

Cheers

Unfortunately dual wan balancing is not "a simple administration tool", however if your up to it you can look at pfSense which is free and will do everything you want it to do.

It will require some knowledge and understanding but it is not too difficult to get running.

If you want to take it a step further look at censornet (also free) which will allow blocking of users/sites/groups etc.

Using the 2 together would definately be a great solution by the sounds of your needs
