Traffic

Yeah, the traffic in the North just seems to get worse at one hell of a rate!!
 
Traffic is also bad in PTA, and when the traffic lights are out, even just a few, getting from PTA East to PTA Central can take up to an hour.
 
So I left at 06h20 this morning and got to the office before 7am :( Now I'm sitting here with nothing to do but read posts on MyBB :)
 
I was thinking of keeping the house that we have now when we buy a place in sunninghill, but think i might just sell it in order to make the move sooner.

Why don't you cycle to work? I'm 9km from work but I have to travel from one end of town to the other side and morning traffic is insane. I get to work about 15 minutes quicker if I cycle.
 
I would buy I would smell like my gardener for the rest of the day. Not cool.

I could just imagine a relaxed and casual ride down witkoppen at 7 in the morning. Between the taxis and crazy drivers the only thing that will be relaxed is your corpse.

I stay on the other side of the N1 (using Cambridge road). I'm about 25KM from work (Constantia Kloof - Roodepoort) and the traffic is non-existent. I feel for the people driving opposite my direction. The traffic does not move after 07H30
It takes me 30 mins if I leave after 07H30.
 
Stellenbosch FTW - but we have pretty nasty traffic, especially folks going from Somerset to Paarl and the other way.
 
I have started travelling a route that is 4km longer to work everyday in order to avoid the N1. Can't handle it anymore :(
