Transfer Data to new SIM

I have a SIM sitting here with 1GB per month doing nothing ... And now I may get a new tablet contract with 1GB.

Possible to transfer that previous 1GB so that I have 2GB on one card?

Dump it into a old android smartphone and use it as a hotspot at home.

Hotspot is your only option. The R series routers is portable and have a stronger antenna than a smartphone.
