My dad has decided to "let" me pay for my Voda contract since I have a job and he wants me to feel the joys of having a bill lol. So what's going to be needed? Do I need to be with him or can he go alone ? Any help would be appreciated.

He needs to request the forms from the SP.

1form he must do, it's to state your details & his coz he's giving it to you.

1 form is for you, the normal contract credit app.

HE must send all those including both your IDs(cert copies) to the SP.

They won't do it if you apply on your own. You'll end up with a brand new contract & the old one will stay his.

You will then be responsible for the remaining X months of the contract....

I Just did this today. Depends who your SP is. Mine is Vodacom SP and the process is as follows:

Your dad does not have to come with you. But you will have to fetch a "Contract Transfer" form from the vodacom store for him to full in.

you need:

1 - contract transfer form signed by yourself and your dad
2 - a letter of authorisation - wording like such i [dads name] sa id no. [dads id no] hereby give permission to [you] [id no.] to transfer the vodacom number [number] into [you] name
3 - a copy of your dads id
4 - a copy of your id
5 - proof of address
6 - 3 months bank statements
7 - payslip
8 - fill out the new red contract application form at the vodacom store

Good luck :)
